Our Needs

Hope Center's Earn While You Learn Hope Academy has been a growing part of Hope Center's ministry for many years. It is through this program parents are transformed into thriving families by being equipped with the knowledge they need to break unhealthy cycles and the tools they need to implement healthy cycles for themselves and their family. We have expanded the Academy to serve clients with relevant classes and needed materials from pregnancy until the child's third birthday. We offer our classes in both Spanish and English and do our best to remove barriers so all parents can attend! This year alone we've seen a 97% increase in class attendance and are currently teaching and serving around 90 families on a weekly basis.

We are needing more curriculum to continue to offer these expanded class topics - our curriculum cost is around $5,000 for a year's worth of curriculum in both Spanish & English. We are also needing more staffing. More clients in classes means a greater need for more classes offered at varying times as well as support staff such as nursery staff, etc. Also, with this massive increase in attendees comes an increase in the amount of material assistance items needed. The remaining dollars we raise through this campaign will go towards making sure every family is able to get what they earn through the program - diapers, wipes, car seats, cribs, pack and plays, and clothing are the main items we offer! Through attending classes, our families are able to earn all of these items and provide for their children. Our goal is to help each family's bottom line budget so they are able to break free from poverty.
