Imagine adults with unique intellectual abilities laughing, making friends, volunteering in their community and living life together. This is happening with over 45 adults with unique intellectual abilities at the Soaring eagle Center (SEC) located in DeSoto, Texas.
Through the SEC day program, Special Olympics teams, volunteer opportunities and social events our adults with unique intellectual abilities are learning new skills, developing new friendships and having new experiences in the community. Our programs are growing as we serve more adults in southern Dallas and northern Ellis counties.
Thanks to your generosity last year, we gifted 48 participants with custom letterman jackets, replaced 2 HVAC units, and catered our annual Christmas Banquet. Â Thanks to your generous support each of our participants know they are celebrated!
Our GREATEST need is $51,000 to access the community. We are experiencing great growth this year! In order to keep engaging the community we need your donations to purchase a van.Â
Our second greatest need is $4,000 to celebrate our adult's uniqueness's with their families by catering our annual Christmas banquet. This is an important and special time as each program participant is honored for who they are made to be.Â
