Every day, that vision becomes reality for more than 45 adults at Soaring Eagle Center (SEC) in DeSoto, Texas.
Through our Day Habilitation Program, Special Olympics teams, volunteer opportunities, community outings, and social events, our associates continue to grow in confidence, independence, and purpose. As our program expands to serve adults throughout southern Dallas and northern Ellis counties, so does our opportunity to make an even greater impact.

1. Updated Technology & iPads – Goal $5,000
• iPads/tablets for associates to use for educational activities, communication, skill-building, and interactive learning
• Protective cases and charging stations
• Updated computers and technology for staff
• Technology that can support individualized programming
2. Improved Check-In/Check-Out System - Goal: $3,500
• A modern digital attendance and check-in/check-out system
• Tablets or touchscreen devices for check-in
• Better tracking of arrivals, departures, transportation, and authorized pickups
• Improved security and accountability for associates and staff
• Reduced paperwork and easier access to attendance records
3. Kitchen Equipment & Supplies - Goal: $7,500
• Updated kitchen appliances
• New cookware, utensils, storage containers, and serving equipment
• Kitchenware that works well with the existing IKEA storage and organization system
• Durable, accessible kitchen items that can be used for life-skills training
• Equipment to support cooking and meal-preparation activities
