Melanoma, the deadliest form, has nearly doubled in North Texas over the last two decades.
But there is hope! 90% of skin cancers are preventable with proper sun safety.
Helms Hope is on a mission to end skin cancer deaths by tackling the disease from the “front end” through
awareness, prevention, and early detection.
We believe some of the greatest opportunities to save lives happen long before a diagnosis.
That means helping people protect their skin, recognize the warning signs of skin cancer, and have access to resources that make prevention and early detection simpler.

🌳 More shade where families need it most through partnerships to bring shade structures to children's parks and play spaces, creating safer places for kids and families to spend time outdoors.
