At Greater Than Expectations, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of youth from foster care by equipping them with the essential tools to discover their potential as leaders and change-makers in a challenging world. Our mission is not just to educate, but to inspire and empower these resilient young individuals, ensuring they have the support and mentorship they need to thrive.

This August, we celebrated 5 years as an organization. Your support helps us to continue to push the mission forward. We are a very small organization so everyone dollar helps. 

This year, through our Freshman Fresh initiative, we adopted and fully furnished the college dorms of five remarkable freshmen from the foster care system at the University of North Texas, investing over $1,500 per room. Additionally, we provided crucial appliances, mentorship and all of the basics to help ease their transition into college life. These initiatives are just the beginning of our commitment to these young people who, despite the odds, have worked tirelessly to reach this milestone.

As we approach North Texas Giving Day, we aim to raise $7,500 to continue our Freshman Fresh programming and ensure these students have what they need throughout the year. Your generosity will also support holiday initiatives for those who often have nowhere to go during the festive season and contribute to our GTE scholarship fund, giving these scholars the best possible chance to succeed.

Our students have already come so far, and with your support, we can help them go even further. Together, we can be the bridge that connects their hard work with the opportunities they deserve.
