NTXWC Helps Good Local Markets
$25 Raised
Good Local Markets is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009 that proudly operates producer-only community farmers markets in Dallas. Now in our 18th season, we support local farmers, ranchers, beekeepers, bakers, makers, and artists by creating direct-to-consumer opportunities that strengthen North Texas' local food economy.
Our farmers markets build community while increasing awareness of the benefits of eating locally and seasonally. Through our work, we increase access to fresh, locally grown food, create economic opportunities for small businesses, encourage healthy social interaction, and support the preservation of working farmland.
Good Local Markets currently operates the White Rock Farmers Market and Fair Park Farmers Market, two producer-only markets featuring vendors who grow, raise, or handcraft everything they sell within a 150-mile radius of Dallas. For more than 18 years, our markets have created long-term direct-marketing opportunities for North Central Texas farms and food businesses while strengthening the local economy and cultivating healthier communities.
Any donations go directly into our basic operating costs and fund our WIC FMNP Double Dollar matching program.
We support local farmers and ranchers, incubate small businesses, increase food access, strengthen the local economy, and cultivate healthy communities.
Good Local Markets seeks funds to help continue our Double Dollar WIC/FMNP program which helps us make fresh food more affordable for all.
Good Local Markets serves all.
