Support Generosity Foundation on North Texas Giving Day

Mission

The purpose of the Generosity Foundation is to promote academic achievement of future generations in higher education, support personal and professional growth, and encourage civic-mindedness. To accomplish this mission, the foundation will undertake the following activities:

1. Offer Academic Scholarships and financial support to students who would otherwise have difficulty in continuing their education and professional development.

2. Work closely with colleges and universities, and other educational institutions on the development of financial support and/or low cost education and training opportunities for students.

3. Support organizations, agencies, or individuals who provide educational programs of high quality that are beneficial to the community, including but not limited to financial, technical, and personnel support.

4. Seek and apply for public and private funds and philanthropic support available for education and personal growth.

5. Provide career guidance, career development and internship opportunities.

6. Conduct evidence-based program development and evaluation on the needs of students and measure progress against periodic written plans for personal growth.

7. Provide training on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for individuals.

8. Develop awareness and outreach programs related to our mission and values.

Needs

Many individuals, particularly those from underserved backgrounds, encounter substantial hurdles in accessing and completing higher education, pursuing meaningful personal and professional development, and actively participating in civic life. These challenges often stem from a lack of financial resources, limited access to quality educational and training programs, an absence of mentorship and career guidance, and insufficient opportunities for community engagement. The cumulative effect of these unmet needs is a significant barrier to upward mobility, leading to unrealized human potential, perpetuating cycles of disadvantage, and weakening the social fabric of communities.

The Generosity Foundation is uniquely positioned to address these critical needs by offering vital financial support, fostering educational and growth opportunities, and nurturing a spirit of civic responsibility. By doing so, the Foundation empowers individuals to overcome systemic obstacles, achieve their educational and career aspirations, and become engaged, contributing members of society.
