FRIENDS OF THE IRVING PUBLIC LIBRARY are celebrating 51 years of providing programs and services to the ever expanding Irving Public Library. We are a 100% volunteer organization raising funds through North Texas Giving Day and regular book sales of high quality donated books, magazines and other media. Members of the Friends of the Library volunteer approximately 4000 hours per year in support and promotion of library programs.
This year, North Texas Giving Day will add equipment to each of our 3 library branches in our "Maker Space", a unique space dedicated to craft making, photo copy and editing, sewing, cooking and activities that bring people of all ages together in a creative environment.

Mission
The Friends of the Irving Public Library is a nonprofit organization dedicated to financially enhancing the library budget. The Friends accomplish this through a variety of book sale opportunities. We are a 100% volunteer organization such that 100% of funds raised are available for Library programs
Needs
The Friends of the Irving Library is an all volunteer organization to fund programs relevant to the Irving community that enhance and exceed the Library budget.
Library "Maker Space" takes our patrons beyond books by providing technical equipment to help advance their creative skills with sewing, pottery making, glass etching, T shirt creativity and cooking.
