Equity Statement
At Foster's Home for Children, we believe every child is created in the image of God and is worthy of love, dignity, and belonging. Rooted in the values of the Churches of Christ, we are called to serve with humility, compassion, and justice welcoming all children into a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment.
We recognize that children come from diverse backgrounds and have often experienced significant trauma, hardship, or systemic barriers. As followers of Christ, we are committed to reflecting His love by ensuring each child feels seen, heard, and valued regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, ability, socioeconomic status, or family history.
In response to this calling, we commit to:
Providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care;
Offering a home where the love of Christ is lived out through daily service and relationship;
Training staff to uphold values of equity, dignity, and inclusion;
Partnering with families and communities to break cycles of harm and build hope for the future.
Our commitment to equity flows from our faith and our mission: to love as Christ loved, to serve as Christ served, and to ensure that every child entrusted to our care experiences healing, purpose, and belonging in the family of God.
