Folds of Honor, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America's fallen or disabled service members and first responders — families who have come face-to-face with the unexpected. We honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and those who have endured life-altering disabilities while protecting our country and communities by educating their legacy and providing hope for their future.
Since 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded nearly 73,000 educational scholarships nationwide. In the 2025-26 academic year, Folds of Honor awarded nearly 11,000 educational scholarships. While these awards set an all-time single-year record, approximately 7,700 qualified applicants did not receive full funding due to limited resources.
Those numbers represent more than scholarships. They represent spouses building new careers, children pursuing their dreams, and families striving to find a path forward when life has taken an unexpected turn.
As we begin a new academic year, we anticipate a continued funding gap as the number of applications continues to increase and the need for assistance continues to grow.

Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America's fallen or disabled service members and first responders.
Every $5,000 funds a life-changing scholarship that can help meet sacrifice with hope.
Higher Education Fund:
Scholarships for the spouses and children of fallen or disabled service members and first responders currently attending or recently accepted into a 2- or 4-year degree program at an institution of higher education or an accredited technical or trade school certification program.
Children’s Fund:
Scholarships for the dependents of fallen or disabled service members and first responders enrolled in grades K-12. Funds may be used for private school tuition, educational tutoring, an approved / accredited homeschooling curriculum, required books, and uniforms.
