Since 2004, First Tee – Fort Worth has empowered kids and teens through the game of golf, helping them build character, confidence, and resilience. What began as the Lindy Miller Foundation with a small team and big dreams has grown into a movement impacting thousands of youth across Tarrant, Parker, Johnson and Denton county.
With support from generous donors like you, we’ve programming at our Ben Hogan Learning Centers (Rockwood Park and Squaw Creek), built a lasting partnership with Benbrook’s Lighted Par-3 and Range, and brought golf directly to Briscoe Elementary - ensuring every child, regardless of background, has access to high-quality coaching and mentorship.
Our mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing inclusive educational programs and learning experiences that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through golf. We empower youth from all backgrounds, helping them develop inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that will guide them in all aspects of life.
Kids who find their stride in competitive sports gain more than just trophies—they develop grit, teamwork, critical thinking, and a lifelong drive to succeed.
For many of our participants, that spark is found in golf. It’s a game that opens doors to personal growth and future careers—on and off the course.
At First Tee – Fort Worth, we help them pursue that path through national opportunities like the Texas Cup, First Tee National Championship, and the PURE Insurance Championship, where selected teens tee off at Pebble Beach alongside PGA TOUR Champions pros.
Your support fuels this journey—covering the training, travel, and tools needed to help our kids rise to the challenge and play at the highest level.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are at the core of First Tee identity and essential to our continued success as an organization. The purpose of increasing diversity is to ensure it is part of the fabric of our organizational culture in all aspects of the business. This is not a project, program or series of events, but an expression of who we are and an intentional process to ensure that our mission is fulfilled.
