$3,000 Goal

At Fannin County Family Crisis Center, we are committed to walking alongside survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault with compassion, dignity, and confidentiality. We believe every survivor deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported as they navigate healing and rebuild their lives.

Through our 24-hour crisis hotline, crisis intervention, emergency transportation to safe shelter, advocacy, counseling, legal and medical accompaniment, education, and ongoing support services, we provide survivor-centered, trauma-informed care tailored to each individual’s needs. In a rural community like ours, we understand the barriers survivors often face, including isolation, lack of transportation, fear, and limited access to resources.

Our goal is not only to help survivors find immediate safety, but also to help them regain stability, confidence, and hope for the future. We believe healing is possible, that survivors deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, and that no one should have to face violence or its aftermath alone.

Mission

Fannin County Family Crisis Center is an organization that counsels and supports individuals and families in a crisis due to sexual assault, physical trauma and emotional abuse. Our Mission is to help individuals take control of their lives, know what their options are and assist them in realizing them. We are a nonprofit organization that cares for the people of Fannin County.

Needs

Every day, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault come to us seeking safety, support, and hope for a better future. Many arrive carrying the weight of trauma, facing uncertainty, and starting over with very little.

Your support through North Texas Giving Day helps ensure survivors in our community have access to the resources and support they need not only to survive, but to heal and rebuild their lives. Funds raised directly support:

• Trauma-Informed Counseling: Professional counseling services that help survivors process trauma, rebuild confidence, and begin healing in a safe and supportive environment.

• Basic Needs Assistance: Emergency support including hygiene items, food, clothing, transportation, and other essentials that help survivors regain stability during crisis situations.

• Education and Prevention Materials: Community education and survivor resources focused on healthy relationships, safety planning, recognizing abuse, and breaking the cycle of violence.

• Advocacy and Case Management: Compassionate support navigating protective orders, medical and legal systems, housing resources, employment, and long-term stability.

• Support Groups: Safe spaces where survivors can connect, find encouragement, and know they are not alone in their healing journey.

In a rural community like ours, barriers such as isolation, transportation, and limited access to services can make it even harder for survivors to reach help. Your support allows us to continue providing confidential, survivor-centered services that meet people where they are with dignity, compassion, and care.

Together, we can provide more than immediate safety. We can help survivors find healing, hope, and the opportunity to move forward with strength and confidence.

Equity Statement

We are committed to serving all survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault with compassion, respect, and dignity. We recognize that every individual’s experience is unique, and we strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds.
