Family Gateway

For 40 years, Family Gateway has been there for families with children facing homelessness—helping them find safety, stability, and a path forward.

Since 1986, Family Gateway has helped thousands of families with children experiencing homelessness on their journeys to stability. We assess families to determine what interventions they need and use creative problem-solving to help families avoid shelter whenever possible.  We have the only emergency shelter in Dallas/Collin counties that will help all types of families (single parents, couples with children, grandparents raising grandchildren).  We offer supportive housing for those who need time beyond shelter.  Our case managers connect families to work, education, and child care.  About 25% of our families have someone in the family with a serious disabling condition that requires additional support (children with severe autism, seizure disorders, etc.).

In honor of our 40th anniversary, we're asking our community to help carry this work into its next chapter.
