Families for Effective Autism Treatment - North Texas (FEAT-NT)

A nonprofit organization

Over 25 years ago, a group of Dallas Fort Worth volunteer parents came together to form an organization that would help them discover the answers they needed to help their children and families through their autism journey. What started out as one monthly meeting and a small group of parents grew into FEAT-NT's mission to educate the outside local community about autism and effective autism intervention. FEAT-NT serves over 5,000 annually.

FEAT-NT holds monthly meetings, social group outings, ongoing workshops, and 6 annual conferences including the annual DFW Autism Conference. Our conferences each year serve over 1,500 professionals and parents and is one of the largest special education providers of continuing education in North Texas.. FEAT-NT provides scholarships to families and teachers. Our meetings and conferences include world known speakers, experienced mentors, adults with autism and sibling/family panels. Our center, has a lending library, with extensive resources and holds socials/meetings monthly for teens and adults and their families. FEAT-NT provides free autism friendly family fun day, a parent mentoring phone line, and community training events.
