The Educator Collective

A nonprofit organization

The Educator Collective is a professional community made up of teachers from across Dallas-Fort Worth. TEC memberships are offered free of charge and provide educators with opportunities to grow in our three areas of focus - community, development, and leadership. Within this basic framework, we give teachers access to the kinds of resources and relationships that will empower them to build lasting and accomplished careers in education.

The strength of the TEC community comes from its diversity. If you are a teacher in Dallas-Fort Worth - whether early-career or veteran, public school or private school, elementary, middle or high school - you qualify for a TEC membership. The potential that comes from unifying these varied backgrounds under the common goal of educator empowerment is limitless.

At our core we believe that when this potential is unlocked - when educators come together, are respected as professionals, and are provided with ample space to grow together - schools flourish and students succeed.

Our model is simple. We focus on three core elements of educator empowerment - community, development, and leadership.

Community
By hosting social events and collaborative work sessions, TEC offers members the chance to grow their professional network and build relationships with industry peers.

Development
TEC Workshops and Speaker Series give members the chance to sharpen their professional skill set, develop strategies for a successful career, and cultivate personal health and wellness.

Leadership
Whether serving on nonprofit boards, participating in policy fellowships, or organizing community service initiatives, members can always rely on TEC to connect them with unique opportunities to stand up as leaders and amplify their voice.
