Who We Are
Doodle Dandy Rescue is a 100% volunteer organization whose mission is to rescue Doodle Dogs in crisis. While we are based in the DFW area, we have satellite groups in Austin, College Station, Houston, San Antonio and Waco, allowing us to rescue doodle dogs all over this great state.  

Our Dogs:
Our loyal corps of volunteers monitors shelter admissions and responds quickly when notified about doodles in need of rescue.  Our rehoming program provides support and assistance to families who have life changes that require them to re-home their dog.  DDR is the bridge of care for these families and the dogs they must leave behind.
Once in foster care, dogs receive medical assessment and treatment, grooming and behavioral training as they transition from traumatized to secure. To date we have helped almost 2000 dogs find their forever homes. 

Our Needs

We are one of the few rescues who truly rehab our dogs both medically and behaviorally, with in-house trainers and board and train options. Training and veterinary care make up 87% of our annual expenditures. We've given sight to a blind dog, mobility to dogs with broken legs and orthopedic issues, prevented death because of bloat and many other critical cases. Donations allow us to take in more dogs with medical and behavioral issues so they can be rescued from euthanasia, rehabbed and adopted into forever homes.
