Who We Are
Every doodle deserves a soft place to land. Doodle Dandy Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run lifeline for doodle dogs in crisis: sick, injured, abandoned, or simply out of options. Based in DFW with satellite teams in Austin, College Station, Houston, San Antonio, and Waco, our rescue shows up for doodles across the entire state of Texas.


Our Dogs:
Our volunteers watch shelter intakes around the clock, ready to step in the moment a doodle needs us. When a family faces a life change they didn't choose, like illness, loss, a move that won't allow pets, we're the bridge, keeping their dog safe and cared for as they transition to a home with another family.

Once in foster care, every dog gets what they need to heal: medical treatment, grooming, and behavioral training that turns fear into trust. We've helped more than 2,000 dogs go from traumatized to home. That number keeps growing because people like you keep showing up.

Our Needs

Most rescues can't take the hard cases. We do. We've given a blind dog his sight back. We've given dogs with broken legs the mobility to run again. We've caught bloat before it became fatal. Doodle Dandy Rescue is also one of the few groups in Texas offering behavioral rehab, with in-house trainers and board-and-train programs, because we believe dogs deserve a real chance, not a dead end. This work isn't cheap - training and veterinary care makes up 87% of everything we spend.
