World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth

We are the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. Since 1951, the Council has been the preeminent Dallas institution encouraging citizens to understand, engage and become involved in international affairs. We do this through public programming, educational programs throughout North Texas, a partnership with the State Department’s International Visitor Program, and much more. None of our work is possible without your support.

• Enables over 6000 students and nearly 1000 teachers to hear from world-class speakers.  
• Equips teachers with knowledge and curricula to address gaps in their students’ educations, to prepare them for an increasingly interconnected and rapidly changing world.  
• Connects experts to classrooms around North Texas, teaching students critical skills like media literacy, global competence, and civil discourse.  
• Hosts visitors from around the globe in your homes, partnering with us to ensure they experience true Texas hospitality.  
• Drives engagement on global issues in our community, building common ground in a changing world.
