It often starts with something small—a conversation, a prayer, or a helping hand. These moments may seem simple, but they can grow into life-changing transformation. Right here in North Texas, many are facing hardship, isolation, and uncertainty. Our ministry exists to step into that need, creating opportunities for hope, healing, and connection. We are committed to walking alongside individuals and families with compassion, faith, and unwavering support.

At Denton Freedom House, our mission is clear: to liberate the broken from the bondages of sin and addiction through the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to equip them to become prosperous disciples with kingdom vision, purpose, and direction.

This year, we are also celebrating 22 years of ministry—22 years of lives changed, families restored, and hope renewed. What began as a vision has grown into a thriving community of transformation, made possible by God’s faithfulness and the generosity of supporters like you.

Our residential program is impacting lives across North Texas, but this work would not be possible without our generous donors and faithful volunteers. Because of you, we are able to offer Phase 1 of our program at no cost to individuals in need—removing financial barriers to recovery and restoration.

Our program consists of three phases. Phase 1, the only required phase, lasts approximately six months. During this time, men and women build job skills and develop healthy social habits while working in our partner enterprises: Freedom Food Pantry, Zera Coffee & Events, and Freedom Commercial Services LLC.

Phases 2 and 3 are optional for participants who choose to continue. During these phases, we help residents secure employment, practice financial stewardship, and transition toward independent living. Throughout the program, residents participate in Bible studies, daily devotionals, and discipleship training that strengthen both mind and spirit.

Individuals enter the program through an application and interview process, ensuring they understand and are prepared to commit to the structure and expectations that support their success.

Zera Coffee & Events is known throughout the community as a welcoming place to gather, study, and connect—but it’s much more than a coffee shop. Zera is “coffee with a cause,” where every purchase directly supports Denton Freedom House and helps us serve more men and women at no cost. With a newly renovated space, Zera also hosts events ranging from small gatherings to wedding receptions and celebrations.

Freedom Food Pantry, which we adopted in 2019, has become a vital outreach to our community. Today, it serves an average of 250–300 families each day. As the cost of living continues to rise, we are seeing more middle-class families in need of support. Beyond providing groceries, this ministry allows us to pray with and encourage those who simply need someone to care.

Join us in making a difference. Your support on North Texas Giving Day helps us continue this life-changing work—bringing hope, restoring lives, and serving our community. Because of you, transformation is possible.
