The world needs leaders who will seek to serve rather than be served, whose love for others compels them to invest in communities, serve with excellence, and impact the world. Dallas Baptist University's mission is to produce students with this mindset. DBU offers 86 bachelor's degree programs, 36 master's degrees, and 2 doctoral degrees.

Faculty and staff provide a challenging yet encouraging environment for students to discover their unique calling and make it a reality. With a heart for others and a desire to change the world, DBU students can be found in the boardroom, classroom, and courtroom. They are doctors, entrepreneurs, government officials, counselors, teachers, coaches, mothers and fathers, and good neighbors who are marked by a heart of service and passion for excellence.

Our Needs

Student Scholarships

Perhaps now more than ever, our students at DBU need your support. The COVID-19 pandemic, followed by the recession, has stretched families physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially. There are so many students who want to attend DBU for a Christ-centered education, but many face financial challenges multiplied by losses from the pandemic. Our Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and Grants works so hard to help our students so they can not only enroll but also remain and finish their degree at DBU. As you know, we run a very lean operation and have finished the last 31 years in the black. We cut costs wherever we can to put the savings right back into the hands of our students.

With more than 90% of our students receiving some type of financial support to attend and many reluctant to take on loans, scholarships are especially important in helping families have peace of mind and reduce additional financial burdens.

Would you please consider donating to DBU through North Texas Giving Day and help open the doors for more students to come and experience all the blessings of the DBU difference? Help us help prepare the future Christian servant leaders desperately needed by our nation and world.

Mission

The mission of Dallas Baptist University is to provide Christ-centered quality higher education in the arts, sciences, and professional studies at both the undergraduate and graduate levels to traditional age and adult students in order to produce servant leaders who have the ability to integrate faith and learning through their respective callings.
