Dance To Success is a North Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has served schools and districts across North Texas since 2006. Our premier program, Dancing Classrooms, is an internationally respected arts-in-education program that uses social ballroom dance to help elementary students develop positive social interaction, social awareness, confidence, and essential life skills.
Professionally trained Teaching Artists deliver 20 lessons over 10 weeks during the school day for students in grades 4–6. Through structured partner dance, students build teamwork, respect, confidence, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Cultural social-studies components cover the history and origins of each dance, while curriculum-connection assignments support classroom teachers' academic goals. Each residency culminates in a celebration where every child has an opportunity to shine.
Dance To Success is licensed and monitored by the Dancing Classrooms National Network & Institute to deliver the curriculum in North Texas. Our residencies have served schools in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Hurst, and Bedford. The curriculum has been independently evaluated by several third-party institutions, including UT Arlington.
Our Needs
For 2026–2027, Dance To Success is building a restricted School Access Fund so schools with limited or no ability to pay can still participate. A $3,500 gift funds one 10-week, 20-session section or residency. Smaller gifts can be combined with school, PTA/PTO, district, grant, sponsor, or donor support. School contributions remain case by case; when a school can contribute, its payment reduces the amount needed from the access fund and frees support for another school.
