Nonprofits help those in need in the community, but who helps the nonprofits?

When nonprofits are trying to serve more people without stable housing, feed more people who are hungry, improve low-income student reading and math scores, assist more people struggling with addiction, and more, they turn to CNM.

For over 40 years, CNM has collaborated with nonprofits of all missions and sizes to provide our customized professional development, strategic consulting, data expertise, and leading-edge technology.

Today, CNM helps over 700 nonprofits annually to provide more services to more people in need.

Our heartbeat since the beginning has been to equip nonprofits with the knowledge and skills needed to be the best they can be.

We provide strategic data expertise and leading-edge technology to nonprofits with the support of foundations and corporations. We also offer education and advisory services that give actionable, practical, and impactful guidance. At CNM, we are dedicated to smart management, measurable outcomes, and thriving communities.

"Everyone who comes to you and tells you that you need to approach CNM is correct. Having that type of expertise is not just crucial, it's invaluable."

- Chad Houser CEO, Cafe Momentum

Mission

Our mission is to strengthen communities by working with nonprofits and other stakeholders to focus on results through strategic management and data expertise and leading-edge technology.

Needs

North Texas Giving Day donations will be used to fund our three primary services:

CNM-pact® Services: CNM’s strategic data expertise and leading-edge technology allows nonprofits to collect the right data, interpret and act on it correctly, and do so efficiently and effectively for greater programmatic impact.

Strategic Consulting: CNM offers a range of custom consulting options, including conducting strategic planning and board development training; performing sustainability, operational, and organizational assessments; and establishing community collaboratives. These services help nonprofits improve their organizational performance through practical and actionable business insights.

Professional Development: Experienced, knowledgeable instructors lead CNM’s specialty seminars and certificate programs in areas essential to running an effective nonprofit. Through these courses, nonprofit professionals build a strong foundation of operational and functional knowledge and application at an individual level. In 2021, we launched a new service to provide custom professional development services to nonprofit organizations.

Equity Statement

CNM is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our organization has a diverse team with staff and board members of varying races, genders, and sexual orientations. In 2020, we replaced our management team with CNM Councils in an effort to offer opportunities for the entire staff to gain more knowledge about other departments and CNM overall, be better engaged in the mission of CNM, and be more efficient and effective in our work with internal and external stakeholders. CNM Councils are cross-functional teams staffed with 3-5 CNM employees from different departments that address strategic and operational challenges as they arise.

Our commitment to work with nonprofits of all sizes and all mission spaces includes a commitment to work with all types of individuals. Our scholarship funding provided by foundation and corporate partners allows us to offer our services at a discount and build the capacity of nonprofits in historically underserved areas. 85% of our clients serve low-to-moderate income individuals or groups.
