As the largest and oldest nonprofit dedicated to after-school programming in Tarrant County, Clayton Youth Enrichment is proud of our rich history of serving North Texas families.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to live a great life and our after school and summer programs help make that possible. Over our 47 years, Clayton has earned the trust of more than 100,000 families who have enjoyed and relied on our programs. We are incredibly honored to be welcoming second- and even third-generation “Clayton Kids” into our afterschool community.
Annually Clayton provides a safe place for more than 6,000 children to learn and play while their parents finish their work day. We partner with schools to help children succeed academically by offering homework assistance combined with fun hands-on activities that expand children's horizons. In addition to academic support, we also help children develop teamwork and self-management skills that will help them succeed both personally and professionally throughout their lives.
In addition to our childcare programs, Clayton partnered with Trinity Basin Preparatory schools to open our first Community Center in 2021 to serve the needs of children and families in Fort Worth’s Meadowbrook, Stop 6, and Polytechnic neighborhoods. Clayton Community Center-Panola provides a safe place for community gatherings and acts as a hub for adult education, job search assistance, academic enrichment for elementary and middle school students, and more.
Clayton’s leadership believes that every child deserves to live a great life so we actively seek out grant funding, individual donations and partnerships that will allow us to offer free or discounted after-school programs at qualifying schools. Our free programs are supported by 21st Century Community Learning Center grants, private philanthropy, and through our partnerships with Fort Worth After School, Crowley Independent School District, and the City of Fort Worth.
At Clayton, we know that families are sometimes faced with difficult financial circumstances, due to job loss or health emergencies. That is why we offer scholarships at our fee-based sites to families facing these unexpected challenges. We also partner with both government agencies and private donors to provide long-term subsidies and discounts to qualifying low-to-moderate income families. Clayton is pleased to offer discounts to those who serve our community as teachers or military personnel.
