Mission

The mission of CEF is to share Good News of Jesus Christ with boys and girls, disciple them in the Word of God and establish them in the local church for Christian living.

Needs

Now, more than ever, children need the Gospel

In a world that is increasingly secular and disconnected from faith, the Gospel is the one thing that can truly transform hearts, restore hope, and change the course of lives.

• Barna's research (2020) indicates that 1 in 3 families in the U.S. are religiously unaffiliated or do not regularly attend church.

• A Pew Research study (2020) indicates the total unchurched families is around 50-60% of U.S. households who are either completely unaffiliated or inactive in religious practice.

The Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) was founded in 1937 the Dallas chapter was officially established in 1983. CEF is a leading expert in reaching children with the Gospel, discipling them in their faith, and training leaders who will continue to impact future generations. CEF Dallas has been dedicated to evangelizing and discipling children in a 5-county area surrounding Dallas. Thanks to a 2001 U.S. Supreme Court ruling Good News Club v. Milford Central School CEF has been given the right to bring their Good News Club program into public school facilities on the same terms as other community groups, citing free speech rights.

When the school year ended, CEF Dallas launched a summer training program for teens CEF developed called Christian Youth In Action or (CYIA). We trained 29 teens how to effectively share the Gospel with children and how to lead a 5-Day Good News Club. When their training ended we deployed the teens to daycares, churches and apartment complexes throughout the Dallas area where they led Good News Clubs. Over 200 children participated in the summer Good News Clubs. Through the Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) program, we are not just sharing the Gospel—we are shaping the next generation of Christian leaders.

This North Texas Giving Day CEF Dallas is raising funds for the 2026 Summer CYIA program. With your help, next summer we can train twice as many teens, partner with twice as many churches, and ultimately reach more than 600 children with the life-changing message of the Gospel.

All people are equal before the Creator God of the Universe and therefore there is no inequity regarding ethnicity. There is only one race - humankind - as "race" is a human construct and as such we prefer the word ethnicity. The Holy Bible makes this every clear and we affirm these Scriptures as truth. Therefore, as commanded, we are to love all peoples regardless of ethnicity.
