The Cedar Hill Museum of History is a small local history institution located in Cedar Hill, Texas. The Museum has celebrated over a year of great success in its new gallery location within the Traphene Hickman Library. Freshly fabricated exhibits have been the highlight in welcoming over 7,000 visitors into the space and it has allowed for a dramatic increase in community involvement. The funds raised through the Day of Giving campaign go towards the continued execution of the exhibit master plan created in collaboration with MuseumArts in Dallas, support for educational programs, preservation of collections, and contributions of general operating funds to keep the Museum open with free admission, three days a week.
To encourage community learning through preservation of our cultural and natural heritage in Cedar Hill.
Currently, our organization is in need of docents to provide tours to visitors in our gallery. Volunteers also help us in planning and running educational programs throughout the year.
The Cedar Hill Museum of History strives to be inclusive in all areas of diversity, equity, and accessibility to encourage full and diverse participation from its audiences.
