Theatre with Purpose — On Stage, In Classrooms, Across North Texas
For 67 years, Casa Mañana has shaped Fort Worth’s cultural heartbeat with bold Broadway hits, inspiring Children’s Theatre, and word-class Cabaret productions. But our most powerful stage is the classroom—where students gain the courage to dream, the skills to succeed, and a future they can believe in.
CASA MAÑANA SCHOOL FOR MUSICAL THEATRE: WHERE EVERY CHILD DISCOVERS THEIR POTENTIAL
From first steps in the spotlight to preparing for college auditions, Casa Mañana’s School for Musical Theatre guides thousands of students each year to find their voice and embrace their creativity. With over 25 year-round classes, four dynamic summer camps, specialized homeschool courses, and college prep programs, children ages 4–19 don’t just learn acting, dance, and voice; they develop resilience, collaboration, and artistic confidence that shapes who they are both on and off the stage. Every student receives expert mentorship, individualized support, and a community that nurtures curiosity and bold ambition, turning a love for the arts into lifelong growth and opportunity.
ALL-ABILITIES: A STAGE FOR ALL STUDENTS
For 29 years, Casa Mañana’s All-Abilities program has been the region’s longest-running inclusive theatre program, proving that the arts are for everyone. Through its year-round class and summer camp, students with diverse developmental and physical needs are empowered to express themselves, build meaningful connections, and experience the joy of theatre. It’s a program that ensures every child can step into the world of performance and truly belong.
BETTY LYNN BUCKLEY AWARDS & APPRENTICE PROGRAM: INSPIRING THE FUTURE OF THEATRE
Since 2000, the Betty Lynn Buckley Awards have celebrated excellence in high school theatre across North Texas, with over 40 schools participating each year. Named for Fort Worth’s Tony Award-winning alumna, the Buckleys honor students in 17 categories and award seventeen $1,000 scholarships annually to support their artistic growth. Building on this legacy, the tuition-free Apprentice Program has, for 14 years, placed students alongside Broadway-caliber directors, choreographers, and designers, culminating in a full-scale production on Casa Mañana’s stage. Together, the Buckleys and Apprenticeships are more than recognition—they are a launchpad for dreams.
OUTREACH, SCHOLARSHIPS & ACCESS: CREATING PATHWAYS TO THE ARTS
Casa Mañana breaks barriers to theatre by partnering with groups like Boys & Girls Club, Academy 4, and Cook Children’s Medical Center, delivering free weekly theatre education and all four Children's Theatre productions to underserved communities and young patients. Each year, we award over $35,000 in scholarships and offer sensory-friendly and ASL-interpreted shows—ensuring every child and family can experience the power of theatre.
Casa Mañana strives to create, nurture, and advance live professional theatre unparalleled in artistic excellence for the enrichment and education of our diverse community and its future generations of artists and patrons.
Casa Mañana is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse arts community in Fort Worth. We work to ensure our programming is accessible to everyone in the community and welcome students, patrons, artists, and applicants of all abilities, ethnicities, race, gender identities and ages to enroll, attend, audition, and apply.
