🎗️ About Carson’s Crusaders Foundation

Carson’s Crusaders Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families of children battling pediatric cancer. Our mission is heartfelt and practical: to remove the everyday barriers that stand between a child and lifesaving treatment so families can focus on what truly matters, fighting for their child’s recovery.

Every day, families load a child into the car and drive to chemotherapy, radiation, blood transfusions, and follow-up scans. On top of the fear and exhaustion, they’re also carrying the constant worry of how to afford getting there. Through our Transportation Assistance Program, we provide gas cards and hospital parking so families never have to choose between putting fuel in the tank and getting their child to care.

Since our founding in 2011, Carson’s Crusaders Foundation has funded over 69,000 trips to the hospital, distributing more than $1.5 million in direct assistance to families across the region. We’re honored to currently serve more than 450 families in Texas.

We are proud to be affiliated with some of the state’s leading pediatric cancer treatment centers:

Medical City Children’s Hospital, Texas Oncology, Children’s Medical Center, Cook Children’s Hospital, and McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, Texas. These partnerships allow us to reach families quickly and provide help where it’s needed most.

But we do more than provide transportation. We also celebrate and uplift the brothers and sisters of childhood cancer patients through our Superstar Sibling Program, ensuring no child feels overlooked in the shadow of cancer. From special birthday gifts to exclusive family events, we help families make lasting memories together because love, laughter, and connection are part of the healing process, too.

đź’› What We Do

đźš— Transportation Assistance Program

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, treatment schedules can span months or even years, requiring countless hospital trips. We step in to ease that burden.

Our program provides gas cards, parking vouchers, and emergency travel support for families facing financial strain.

Your donations directly fund these essentials by helping parents keep their promise to never miss a treatment, no matter the distance.

🎉 Superstar Sibling Program

Cancer doesn’t just impact one child, it touches the entire family. Our Superstar Sibling Program celebrates the brothers and sisters of pediatric cancer patients through:

  • Birthday gifts mailed throughout the year
  • Exclusive “Superstar” events like theme park days, bowling nights, and special outings
  • Holiday surprises that bring the whole family together

This program reminds every sibling: you matter, too. Your love and support make a difference.

đź’« Community Outreach & Awareness

Carson’s Crusaders is also committed to raising awareness of pediatric cancer through our Paint the Town Gold campaign and community partnerships. By lighting up local landmarks, schools, and businesses each September, we remind the community that childhood cancer deserves bold attention and collective action.

We also collaborate with hospitals, social workers, and corporate partners to ensure families have access to local resources and emergency support year-round.

🌟 Why Your Support Matters

Every donation — big or small — changes the course of a family’s journey:

  • It helps a parent get their child to treatment safely.
  • It reminds siblings that they are seen, valued, and loved.
  • It brings comfort, hope, and stability to families facing unimaginable challenges.

By supporting Carson’s Crusaders Foundation, you’re not just giving money, you’re giving a family the strength to keep going. You’re fueling hope, one mile at a time.
