Caring Pathways of Carrollton is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing an integrated, compassionate day program to underserved adults (18+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At the core of our organization is our commitment to provide a place where all people have value, dignity, and voice, where challenges are met through meaningful, engaging activities, and where we celebrate ability over disability.
Our Needs
Last year, we shared that our facility had reached full capacity. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to expand and welcome new clients! But the need is still great. Young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities remain vastly underserved, and we continue to receive calls from parents seeking a quality day program for their sons and daughters.
At Caring Pathways, our clients stay busy, learning and engaged all day long. They come from Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Richardson, Plano, Allen, Dallas, Lake Highlands, and beyond—and every one of them deserves the chance to thrive.
Our needs are two-fold: programming and transportation. While some state funds help cover the cost of our day program, they fall short of what’s required to maintain the high-quality environment our clients deserve. By law, we cannot charge families more, which means fundraising is essential to our existence. Your gift helps cover programming materials, supplies, staffing, insurance, utilities, and so much more.
This year, a portion of NTGD funds will also go toward our "Shuttle Fund". Community outings are a vital part of our mission, but until recently, we were limited to destinations within walking distance. Thanks to the recent donation of a minivan, we can do a little more—but our vision is to purchase a full shuttle with a wheelchair lift, so that all of our clients, including those who use wheelchairs, can fully participate in group outings.
Simply put: WE NEED YOU.Your donation directly impacts the lives of our current and future clients, ensuring they have opportunities to learn, connect, and experience the community around them. Together, we can keep Caring Pathways strong and open new doors of possibility.
