At CARE-Dallas, we believe prevention can be powerful—and even fun:
Our mission goes beyond raising awareness about alcohol and substance abuse. We aim to make education engaging, relatable, and exciting for people of all ages. Whether you're a student, parent, educator, or community leader, CARE-Dallas provides creative, evidence-based tools and programs that inspire healthy choices and empower our community to thrive.
School Assemblies:
We bring energy, heart, and real conversations to schools across North Texas with dynamic assemblies that don’t just educate — they wow. From jaw-dropping guest speakers and live performances to interactive storytelling and powerful personal testimonies, our assemblies are designed to stick with students long after the bell rings.
We’re on a mission to prevent substance use and promote healthy choices for youth in a way that’s honest, engaging, and even fun. No scare tactics. No lectures. Just authentic connections, eye-opening facts, and experiences that inspire real conversations.
Beyond the Assembly: Pathways & New Directions:
For teens and young adults ready to go deeper, CARE-Dallas offers Pathways and New Directions — two impactful education tracks designed to build skills, strengthen awareness, and support growth.
Pathways:
Pathways is our prevention-first education series, developed for students who want to better understand substance use, mental wellness, and personal development. Through engaging, discussion-based sessions, teens explore real-world topics like:
How drugs and alcohol affect the brain and body
Legal highs and the myth of “safe” substances
Coping skills, goal setting, and emotional intelligence
Media literacy and healthy relationship boundaries
New Directions:
New Directions is a restorative education course tailored for youth who’ve had a brush with substance use, school discipline, or the juvenile system. This isn't punishment — it’s an opportunity.
Through guided reflection, motivational coaching, and structured curriculum, participants learn to:
Rebuild trust and redefine self-worth
Develop resilience and personal responsibility
Understand addiction science and prevention strategies
Chart a new path forward, one choice at a time
Our goal is to offer second chances with structure and support — because everyone deserves the opportunity to change direction.
Prevention Is What We Do:
Whether it’s Red Ribbon Week, a special school-wide event, or part of an ongoing prevention effort, CARE-Dallas partners with schools to create unforgettable assemblies that tackle tough topics like:
Vaping, alcohol, and drug use (including fentanyl)
Peer pressure and social media
Healthy decision-making
Each program is tailored to meet students where they are — developmentally, emotionally, and culturally. We collaborate with educators and mental health professionals to ensure every assembly is age-appropriate, inclusive, and backed by research.
Why It Matters:
The challenges facing today’s youth are complex, but so are their strengths. At CARE-Dallas, we’re here to build on those strengths with the kind of prevention programming that’s bold, modern, and grounded in hope.
Because when you connect first, students listen.
When you make it real, they remember.
And when you care, it shows.
At CARE-Dallas, we promote education and awareness in Dallas about alcohol and substance abuse. Through prevention education, we equip our community with critical knowledge, guiding them to live healthier and brighter futures.
We aim spread a message of hope through our programs, activities, courses, and events.
CARE Forward (dba CARE Dallas) values each client and respects their right to be treated fairly and without discrimination regardless of their age, race, sexual identity, and country of origin.
