Business Council for the Arts is a connector between commerce and culture. Our programs bring wellness and equity into the workplace through the arts, develop next-generation business leaders for arts boards, inject creativity into work teams, measure the economic impact of the arts in North Texas, and enrich arts organizations with business best practices.

Our Needs

We need the support of businesses and individuals to continue to provide actionable ways in which the arts positively affect mental health, inclusive communities, and an innovative and engaged private sector.

Your North Texas Giving Day contribution helps us to collaborate with and serve both the North Texas arts and business communities. One of the ways we do this is through our Arts & Health programs. Arts & Health brings together regionally, nationally, and internationally-renowned experts in the fields of medicine, research and design to cover the impact of the arts on mental health and provide actionable tips to using the arts for wellness.

Evidence-based research is fueling recognition of the arts as impactful in health and wellness for individuals, businesses, and communities. In North Texas, the health sector provides an economic impact of more than $52 billion per year, representing about 15 percent of all regional economic activity. That vigor is matched by the robust growth of the arts in our region. From 2010 to 2015, the economic impact of nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in North Texas gained three-fold, to $1.5 billion annually. Business Council for the Arts has been bringing the sectors of arts, health, and wellness together for more than a decade. Our Arts & Health webinar programming has received outstanding feedback from our attendees and has been viewed from New York to California and internationally. It is offered at no cost to the public.
