$30,000 Goal

Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas, with your thoughtful help, was able to rescue 133 precious lives in 2021! Thank YOU for being part of their journey and for supporting BTRNT.
Your generous donations provided the funding needed to care for these babies. We couldn't do this without you! Please donate and help us save even more Boston Terriers in 2022!!

Intake has been busier than ever in 2023.  From January 1, 2023 to September 1, 2023 we have already taken in 161 dogs in need compared to 94 for the same time period last year.  That is a 171% increase for our little rescue and an average of 4.60 dogs per week.

Our Needs

Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas is a a non-profit, charitable 501 (c)(3) organization. Our organization works to save as many Boston Terriers as our modest rescue can handle. We are an all volunteer organization with over 50 years of history behind our efforts. It is through volunteers and donations that we are able to save homeless and injured Boston Terriers, one dog at a time. Many of the Boston Terriers that come into our rescue have medical needs that require to be addressed before they can be placed in a loving forever home. This includes spay/neutering, vaccinations, heartworm treatment, and even more extensive care such as eye surgeries and fractured limbs. It can take over $1000 to get ONE baby healthy before they can be placed for adoption. We need monetary donations to be able to continue our efforts, because medical care is absolutely critical.

Mission

Caring for and healing the hearts, bodies and minds of Boston Terriers in need, whether from neglect, abandonment or abuse, regardless of age, health or adoptability while addressing any medical or physical issues each dog may have that caused him/her to be surrendered or abandoned.

Work to provide a solution to stop pet overpopulation by ensuring that any Boston Terrier available for adoption is spayed or neutered.

To provide education and assistance to those interested in adopting and to those who have adopted. To provide each rescued Boston terrier a loving home environment in foster care until a happy, safe and FOREVER home is found.

Needs

We are a rescue that heavily relies on volunteers. We are always in need of fosters, especially ones willing to take dogs with medical conditions or behavior issues. No dog foster homes are always needed for those dogs who need to be an only dog. In addition to fosters, we are looking to recruit some new behind the scenes volunteers such as a social media coordinator, volunteer coordinator, communication coordinator, foster coordinators and grant writer.

Run by volunteers with caring hearts, Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas is funded completely by donations, and we can’t achieve our mission alone. Generous donations from kind people like you sustain us with the financial support necessary to care for the hundreds of homeless Boston Terriers we rescue every year.
