At Bruce Wood Dance Dallas, we bring world-class contemporary dance right to our hometown. Every year, we reach 60,000+ neighbors—from ages 3 to 103—through breathtaking performances and free community programs. But we can't do it alone. Behind every leap, every class, and every subsidized ticket is a supporter like YOU.
We are also a vital economic driver. Beyond our 12 professional dancers and six full-time staff, we champion local talent by employing regional choreographers, photographers, stage crews, consultants, and more.

Living Wages & Healthcare: Vital compensation and health benefits for our dedicated artists and staff. Bruce Wood Dance Dallas pays competitive hourly wages and covers more than 85% of the cost of health insurance coverage for our employees.
Community Outreach: Free dance classes for local schools and social service nonprofits. Each week, our dancers visit various locations throughout our community to bring the healing power of dance to those who benefit from it most.
True Accessibility: To share the magic of live dance performances, Bruce Wood Dance Dallas provides 600+ complimentary and low-cost tickets annually to our partners like Nexus, Resource Center, Heart House, For Oak Cliff, and Mosaic Family Services.

Mission
The mission of Bruce Wood Dance Dallas is to present high-caliber, original, contemporary choreography that harnesses the power of dance as a tool for entertainment, enrichment, and healing. Fortified by Bruce Wood's aesthetic, Bruce Wood Dance Dallas produces and maintains his repertoire, commissions new work by resident choreographers and guest dance-makers, and contributes to the quality of life in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, and across the nation.

All donations fund our company members and staff salaries and benefits along with our ongoing performance and education outreach programs.
