We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization staffed solely by volunteers devoted to the rescue of unwanted, abused, and homeless basset hounds in the Dallas, Texas area and surrounding regions. As we are funded entirely by donations from the public, the continuation of our work depends on the generosity of each one of you.
Basset Rescue Across Texas, Inc. is organized for the following purposes:
a. Prevent cruelty to animals - especially basset hounds;
b. Support animal welfare by locating and retrieving homeless, unwanted, abandoned, and abused basset hounds;
c. Provide necessary funding for medical care and spaying and neutering for basset hounds;
d. Place rescued basset hounds in loving, permanent homes;
e. Educate the public as to the care and traits of basset hounds; proper veterinarian care; and the importance of spaying and neutering all pets.
We have an on going need for assistance with Vet bills and Pet Medicine.
