Growing Great Minds
Since 1994, Braswell Child Development Center has been a steadfast provider of quality childcare and early education to infants through age 11 in South Dallas. The center has deep roots in the Fair Park and Frazier neighborhoods and has served multiple generations of families in this community.
Braswell’s mission is simple but powerful: to nurture each child’s interests and help them grow into lifelong learners through developmentally appropriate education. The organization’s dedication has earned the highest four-star Texas Rising Star certification from the Texas Workforce Commission and accreditation through the National Accreditation Commission.
To further Braswell’s impact, every dollar matters. Braswell remains the only nationally accredited childcare provider in the 75210 ZIP code that accepts government subsidies, striving to make quality care affordable and accessible for South Dallas families.
The Need
This year, Braswell has a $1,000 match to ensure every donation is DOUBLED for North Texas Giving Day! Your support will meet critical needs this year, including bridging the gap left by limited federal funding which impacts both serving families in need, and providing fair pay to passionate childcare workers.
The Impact
Braswell serves low-income families in South Dallas, most led by single mothers. These families rely on Braswell not just for care but for stability – allowing them to pursue education and work while their children receive high-quality care. Despite the barriers they may face, children at Braswell are thriving:
-
85% become kindergarten-ready
-
85% reach developmental milestones
-
80% consistently increase their social, emotional and cognitive skills
This impact is also generational. Alumni of Braswell return with their own children. Your support today continues that cycle of trust and hope!
When you give to Braswell on North Texas Giving Day, you are investing in a community cornerstone. You help create the space where curiosity, resilience and education take root in the lives of young learners.
