B. MOORE DANCE founded in 2018, is a Dallas-based Contemporary Modern Dance Company. The diverse collective of performing artists is led by Artistic-Executive Director and Dallas native, Bridget L. Moore. The company also serves as a fiscal sponsor to Flamenco Black Inc., established October 10, 2023. B. MOORE DANCE received the Texas Shining Star Award from TAHPERD in 2019 as a rising company of excellence in Dallas, TX. The organization aims to cultivate creative spaces through innovative works, collaboration, education, and community projects.

Moore has made significant contributions to the field of dance, earning both national and international acclaim from peers and critics. B. MOORE DANCE exemplifies her dedication to the evolution of dance. Under her leadership, the company has developed its Global Connexion program, initially established during the global pandemic to facilitate local and  international artistic connection and collaboration.

This virtual and live festival features a distinguished cultural exchange between B. MOORE DANCE, Flamenco Black inc. and  Venezuelan Master Flamenco Choreographer and Dancer Daniela Tugues. The festival is dedicated to honoring the rich traditions of Flamenco and its Afro-Andalusian roots, while also striving to bridge cultural gaps and celebrate the diverse global dance traditions that encompass both Flamenco and the African Diaspora.

B. MOORE DANCE and FLAMENCO BLACK INC. share a commitment to advancing their artistic profiles, enhancing global visibility, and fostering new collaborations. Through innovative festivals and community engagement projects, these organizations aim to create groundbreaking performances that resonate on both a local and international scale.

Moore's choreographic works provide both cultural and kinesthetic experiences rooted in African-American and global dance aesthetics. Her choreography is technically challenging, and period-specific, integrating historical and cultural perspectives through research and development. Moore has received choreographic commissions from Dallas Theater Center, TACA, TITAS, Ailey II, Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, Point Park University, University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Austin, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Urban Bush Women, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Bruce Wood Dance/METdance and Red Clay Dance Company, to name a few. These are major achievements, in addition to her notable professional career as a dancer with New York-based, Ronald K. Brown Evidence: A Dance Company.

Moore's work has been presented at New York's-Fall for Dance Festival, Jacob's Pillow "Inside/Out" series, Dee & Charles Wyly Theatre, Margot & Bill Winspear Opera House, Addison Theatre Center, Booker T. Washington HSPVA, The Joyce Theater and Ailey Citigroup Theater, among others.


Mission

The mission of B. MOORE DANCE is to empower and transcend generations through the art of dance by cultivating the arts through leadership, education and performances.

Needs

Our continuous fundraising goals are focused on enhancing our mission and making a significant impact through our initiatives and surrounding our upcoming concert, "The Parlor Room,” a part of AT&T Performing Arts Center-The Elevator Project, and to offset fees for dancers, artists, production, tech crew for all performances within the 2024-2025 Season.

In addition, B. MOORE DANCE and Flamenco Black Inc. are seeking support to cover essential expenses for the Global Connexion International Dance Festival, including artist and choreographer fees, studio rental, virtual technology, marketing, technical production, photography, videography, costumes, and travel accommodations such as lodging and ground transportation.
