Belle and Sparrows is a by women for women non-profit that serves and equips at-risk and under-resourced women both locally and globally by providing income earning skills and job training.
Many women in our community/nation/world are facing insurmountable odds to not only keep their families together, but to do that in a way that is uplifting and not demeaning. Our teams actively come alongside these women to lift them up and help them with support and skills they need while also sharing with them about the redeeming love of Christ!
In 2018 we saw an increasing gap in services for women exiting recovery programs. This led to research, time in prayer, the call to begin a sustainable buisiness in McKinney, TX. that provides a safe environment for women rebuilding their lives to earn supplemental income making candles while participating in job skills training.
We have a team of individuals that are passionate about making this a reality by creating a vibrant community based organization where collaborative partnerships invest in the success of the women we serve.
Current needs for our agency:
1. Funds to expand our program to hire more women
2. Fall interns
3. Volunteers to teach classes, provide childcare or transportation
4. Walmart & Target Gift Cards
5. Toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene products, diapers and wipes
6. Restaurant gift cards or donations from restaurants for meals for women
7. WOMEN to go and serve alongside us
8. Volunteers to help set up and work events and administrative assistance
Our organization is by women for women, helping marginalized and under resourced women around the globe with emphasis on economic sustainability. We serve in transitional housing, with formerly incarcerated, domestic violence shelters, addiction recovery homes, with the homeless and villages of women around the globe. We partner with other non-profit organizations to help provide resources and community support for at-risk women.
