Belle & Sparrows is a small, by-women-for-women nonprofit serving at-risk and under-resourced women locally and globally. We equip women with job training and income-earning skills so they can rebuild their lives, support their families with dignity, and experience the redeeming love of Christ.
In 2019, we saw a gap in support for women leaving recovery programs. After prayer and research, we launched a social enterprise in McKinney, TX in 2020. Through Belle & Sparrows Candles, women earn supplemental income by hand-pouring candles while gaining job skills and community. Each candle represents hope, restoration, and a step toward independence.
Our mission also reaches beyond Texas. For more than 9 years, Belle & Sparrows has partnered Heidi and Carlos Fernandez with Welcome To My Father's House Ministries to serve the Mayan women in the village of Tabacal, Guatemala, teaching income-earning skills that help provide for their families and break the cycle of poverty.
As a small nonprofit, every gift and volunteer makes a big impact.
