Behind Every Door envisions a world that people are walking in the fullness of who God created them to be, free from constraints of their circumstances.

Mission

We believe that relationships are strengthened through influence…and that influence is cemented by being present. Our mission is to enter neighborhoods, love our neighbors, and unlock the God-given potential that exists within everyone.

Theory of Change

Environments shape belief systems. Belief systems drive behaviors. Behaviors shape outcomes.

People, families, and neighborhoods flourish when they are consistently connected to trusted relationships,

meaningful opportunities, supportive environments, and experiences that build hope, strengthen belonging,

expand possibility, and help people grow toward who God created them to be.

Transformation happens over time through faithful presence, trusted relationships, access to opportunity,

meaningful experiences, personal ownership, and the work of God.

• Stronger families and flourishing neighborhoods through community events, trusted relationships, resources, partnerships, and year-round programs that connect people to opportunities and create pathways to purpose.

Our programs:

• Pathways to Purpose is Behind Every Door’s lifelong human development strategy. It creates communities of

belonging where people discover who God created them to be and are equipped to faithfully walk the path God

has prepared for their lives.

• Athletics & Wellness cultivates healthy and connected living through recreation, athletics, wellness, and healthy

leisure. Recreation can become a gateway to belonging, wellness, restoration, community connection, and

personal growth.

• BED Cares strengthens community capacity by closing access gaps through generosity, trusted relationships,

and strategic partnerships that serve individuals, strengthen families, and build healthier neighborhoods.
