North Texas Gives to Animals 2026: Help Averting CAT-astrophe Save More Lives

From May 14–31, Averting CAT-astrophe is proud to participate in North Texas Gives to Animals, a community-wide campaign supporting animal rescue organizations across North Texas.

Every day, we rescue vulnerable cats and kittens who have nowhere else to turn — abandoned newborns, sick kittens requiring intensive medical care, injured strays, and cats at risk of euthanasia. These lives depend on compassionate people like you.

Thanks to the support of our community, we have already helped save more than 130 cats and kittens this year alone. But rescue never stops, and the need continues to grow.

Your donation during North Texas Gives to Animals helps us provide:

Matching Funds Available

The first $100,000 in online donations during the campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Communities Foundation of Texas and The Gigi Gartner Charitable Foundation Fund (up to $100 per donor, per organization). Your gift can go even further to help save lives.

Mission

Averting CAT-astrophe is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue organization powered entirely by dedicated volunteers. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome vulnerable cats and kittens while promoting compassionate care, responsible pet ownership, and the importance of spay and neuter programs in reducing pet overpopulation.

From emergency neonatal kittens to injured or abandoned cats, we are committed to giving every feline the chance to live a safe, healthy, and loved life.

Through rescue efforts, foster care, medical treatment, community education, and adoption services, we work every day to make a lasting difference — one feline at a time.
