This year, the AT&T Performing Arts Center marks a milestone – 15 years!
The Center is a nonprofit and a vibrant cultural hub that provides, operates, and activates exceptional spaces for artists, artistic organizations, and the community. On its 10-acre downtown campus, the Center operates three of the nation's finest performance venues: the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House, Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, Annette Strauss Square and the welcoming public green space, Elaine D. and Charles A. Sammons Park.
The Center itself presents the best of Broadway, top entertainers, comics, and iconic speakers, while also engaging the community through education and engagement programs. Through a range of donor and sponsor supported education programs each year like Backstage Spotlight, Disney Musicals in Schools, and Open Stages, thousands of students explore the arts, many attending their first live performances. The Center’s free community programs like Family Days, Community Partners, and ArtsBridge – Powered by Toyota, help ensure access to arts performances and art-making for Dallas residents of all ages.
The Center also uplifts emerging local artists and arts organizations through its groundbreaking Elevator Project, which provides free rehearsal and performance space and marketing, production, and facilities support.
With presenting partner, TITAS/Dance Unbound, the Center brings renowned dance companies from around the globe to North Texas audiences. The Center is also home to five esteemed resident companies presenting opera, theater, and a range of dance. These companies include Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, The Dallas Opera, Dallas Theater Center, and Texas Ballet Theater.
