We were able to mobilize 600 men to impact Dr. Billy Earl Dade Middle School in South Dallas, and now we will provide a male mentorship program at David Carter High School and programming for all students at 5 additional schools ( middle schools: Dade, Browne, Atwell; elementary schools: Umphrey Lee and Paul L Dunbar) throughout the year. At Carter High, each young man will be eligible to have a mentor that will be with them all school year, the other campuses will have an influx of men from the community having a measurable impact on each campus. Every campus will participate in multiple collegiate, vocational, and other post graduate tours that will shape how they view their own futures.
Our Needs
We need funding for infrastructure and programming so we can deliver to the young people the very best that we can offer. The collegiate tours are expensive because of the bus rental rates and providing meals for each young person.
