Our vision at the Assistance Center is to be a valuable resource for the Collin County community. We offer support and services through our helpline, providing our community with the resources they need to help prevent homelessness, hunger and poverty. Our financial assistance programs provide short-term rental and utility assistance to keep families stably housed and to remove the threat of eviction and utility disconnections. Our case managers work on a stabilization plan with every client we assist and we offer classes on financial literacy, employment, career coaching and ESL to further assist clients in gaining self-sufficiency.

Our Needs

1. Volunteers to serve as call center advocates providing information and referrals for families in need
2. Volunteers to assist with administrative tasks
3. Civic organizations or corporations to join our efforts
4. Church groups to serve their mission projects at the Assistance Center
5. Families and businesses to adopt our holiday program families

The Assistance Center of Collin County brings carefully qualified and prompt short-term assistance to individuals and families who are experiencing a financial crisis to prevent homelessness, hunger and poverty.

With over 200 phone calls per day to our helpline, the need is greater than ever to help our neighbors remain stably housed. Your donation can keep a family sheltered for one month or more while we help them regain self-sufficiency.
