By partnering with institutions such as Tulips, The Near Southside, The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and Hotel Dryce, Art Tooth finds ways to creatively make opportunities for artists in DFW. Donations this year will help us continue these efforts and ensure artists get the support they need financially through open calls and grant opportunities.
We rely predominantly on volunteer staff and a small but mighty staff who gives a significant amount of their time to the organization with some compensation. Donations today will help give more support to staff and help us expand our efforts to help artists in the DFW area.
Art Tooth is an artist-run, 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves as an art consultancy, artist resource, and community partner in Fort Worth, Dallas, and beyond. Through exhibitions, networking events, educational programs, digital marketing, and strategic partnerships, we aim to elevate the creative practice of local, emerging, and mid-career artists. Art Tooth was founded in 2016 to create more opportunities for artists in Fort Worth and build relationships between artists, collectors, and art patrons. We strive to continue making contemporary art accessible to strengthen Dallas-Fort Worth's reputation as an arts destination.
With multiple barriers to inclusion, BIPOC artists are historically underrepresented, not only in having their work shown and purchased, but in arts education, arts organizations hiring processes, curation roles and funding from grants. Art Tooth is committed to ensuring Black, Latine/x, Indigenous, and AAPI artists are involved in our organization at every level.
