$10,000 Goal

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) incorporates horses experientially for mental and behavioral health therapy and personal development. It is a collaborative effort between a licensed therapist and a horse professional working with the clients and horses to address treatment goals. Because of its intensity and effectiveness, it is considered a short-term, or "brief" approach. This is not riding therapy. This is emotional healing.

EAP is a powerful and effective therapeutic approach that has an incredible impact on individuals, youth, famlies, and groups. EAP addresses a variety of mental health and human development needs including but not limited to: behavioral issues, attention deficit disorder, PTSD, substance abuse, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and communication needs.

Our program is unique in that it uses Arabians only, and those that have been saved from slaughter, abuse, neglect, or abandonment.

Our Needs

1. Funding to provide free counseling to those who need it most: veterans; foster kids and families; complex trauma survivors; and other community based programs.
2. Donated in kind gifts - tractor, feed, truck

Mission

Arabian Rescue Therapy's (ART) mission is to provide Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), and Horsesight‚Ñ¢ to clients incorporating Arabian and half-Arabian horses that have also experienced hardship.

Needs

2022 and 2023 has us experiencing the worst drought we have seen in over a decade. The cost of feed has doubled - the cost of hay has nearly tripled.

We need funds to buy enough hay for our horses to make it through the winter!

Equity Statement

Arabian Rescue Therapy is dedicated to serving all races, ethnicities, orientations, and genders equally. No matter how small our non-profit, our impact is huge. We will continue to serve the less represented in our communities and foster a sense of safety, inclusion, and celebration in their own unique identities.
