Established in 1973, the Arlington Master Chorale is an all-volunteer, auditioned chorus with a 50+ year history of choral singing at a professional level. We are a diverse group with members of different backgrounds and occupations coming from all over the Metroplex.

Each season, AMC performs six to eight concerts, including a variety of choral music from traditional pieces, major classical works, contemporary works, and even Broadway classics. Committed to inspiring the next generation of music lovers, AMC regularly features student choirs from Arlington and schools across the Metroplex. AMC does more than sing. The chorus has provided the Arlington Master Chorale Scholarship to two deserving vocal majors at the University of Texas at Arlington.

AMC's reputation of artistic excellence has provided opportunities for the group to perform nationally and tour internationally including performances at Carnegie Hall, the St. Stefan Concert Hall in Florence, St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and in the summer of 2023, at the venerated Southwark Cathedral in London. Your AMC was the featured choir for the Texas Choral Directors Association annual convention in San Antonio in July 2009 and 2022, has sung with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra on multiple occasions, performed the National Anthem for the Texas Rangers baseball team and provided a patriotic concert for the inaugural FreedomFest at the National Medal of Honor Museum on July 4, 2025.

For our 2025-26 season, AMC is under the direction of a new Artistic Director and Conductor, Kay Owens. AMC is thrilled to welcome Kay Owens to the podium. Ms. Owens is an exceptionally talented musician who brings a broad range of talents as a conductor, composer, and educator. She is also a past member of the Arlington Master Chorale!

We perform three concerts each with two performances. Our fall concert, We Are Phoenix, will illuminate the analogy between humans and our planet: we both suffer loss and devastation and yet rise again and again, becoming stronger each time. Our holiday concert, Gloria, will feature the Gloria works from both Karl Jenkins and Randall Bass, accompanied by full orchestra. In the spring of 2026, our concert, Music Down in My Soul, will be a celebration of America's heritage in music.

As a donor to Arlington Master Chorale, you can be assured that your investment in the group is mirrored by a heartfelt commitment on the part of the volunteer singers. We keep institutional costs low thanks to the many volunteer hours provided by singers who assist with publicity, fundraising, and production needs, among other vital services. This ensures that as much of your gift as possible goes to support our artistic endeavors.

All donors receive recognition in Arlington Master Chorale’s concert programs.
