Arise Africa

Arise Africa is a Fort Worth-based nonprofit serving children and families in Zambia who are experiencing poverty. Through Christ-centered care, education, discipleship, and community programs, we are committed to seeing children not only survive, but thrive.

We know that North Texas has significant needs of its own. So why give to children halfway around the world?

Because compassion doesn’t stop at geographic borders.

Every child—regardless of where they are born—has God-given value, potential, and a future worth investing in. Caring for children in Zambia doesn’t take away from caring for our neighbors here at home. Instead, it expands our capacity to care and reminds us that we are connected to something much bigger than ourselves.

Arise Africa has chosen to focus deeply on Zambia, building long-term relationships and sustainable programs that address economic, physical, and spiritual poverty. From our Arise Homes to schools, feeding programs, and discipleship initiatives, we walk alongside children and families for the long haul. Today, we serve around 1,000 children and families—and we’ve had the privilege of watching children who first came to us years ago grow into college graduates, skilled professionals, and leaders in their communities.

And while our work takes place in Zambia, North Texas is an important part of the Arise Africa story. Our U.S. headquarters is in Fort Worth, and many of our supporters, volunteers, sponsors, and advocates call North Texas home.
