With your support, APAA will continue to support populations that are hardest hit by addiction and mental health and provide them with life-changing recovery support services.
APAA's mission is to educate all segments of the community about the nature of addiction/mental health recovery, and to provide recovery support services to individuals, families, and the recovering community.
APAA has reached a critical point at which we must begin to prepare for the next 25 years. We’ve reached the limits of our current building, using every square inch of the facility. As we’ve grown, it’s become increasingly clear our building is not conducive to existing service demands or viable for future expansion. Further, renovations will position us to extend the life of our facility and expand the utility of our space, enabling us to support APAA’s program operations and the full scope of our organization’s mission.
APAA’s strength comes from our diversity, and we celebrate the visible and invisible qualities that make each person unique, including race, gender, age, sexuality, ability, religion, national origin, gender identity, and other identities.
Our vision and mission reflect our fundamental belief that all people belong and deserve health, wellness, recovery, and inclusivity.
We commit to aligning our culture and practices to be a beacon of diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging for all people.
APAA will reflect diversity in its organizational governance, volunteer structure, staffing, funding decisions, policies, and practices. Through our commitment to diversity, we will strive to be a role model in our community, joining with other community stakeholders to strengthen an effective recovery-oriented service system that reaches out to all people in our six-county community.
APAA’s strength is in our diversity.
