Live Plants for our Animals
$0 Raised
Our unique, student-led program empowers middle schoolers to become conservation leaders by giving them hands-on responsibility for our on-campus animal ambassadors. From feeding and habitat care to learning about complex ecosystems, these students are building empathy, leadership, and a deep love for wildlife.
To keep this program running, we need your help. 100% of your donation goes directly toward high-quality care, food, upgraded enclosures, and supplies for our animals.
Donate Today to foster a love for science and responsibility in our community's youth!
Every school day at J.L. Long Middle School begins a little differently for the students in the Zoo Crew. Before the first bell rings at 7:45 AM, our dedicated student members are already hard at work—choosing responsibility, practicing empathy, and providing hands-on care for our campus animal ambassadors, from Thumper the rabbit to Queen Medusa the python.
The J.L. Long Zoo Crew is entirely student-driven. Through daily care, learning about diverse ecosystems, and even hosting animals over school breaks, our members build invaluable leadership skills, academic discipline, and a lifelong respect for nature.
As a non-profit organization, we rely entirely on the generosity of our community to keep this unique program thriving. Your tax-deductible donation directly funds habitat maintenance, dietary and medical needs for our animals, and educational resources that keep our youth excited about science and conservation.
By supporting the Zoo Crew, you aren’t just helping us feed and care for our animal ambassadors—you are investing in the future stewards of our planet. Please consider making a donation today to help our students and animals thrive!
When you donate to the J.L. Long Zoo Crew Booster Club, you are directly supporting student leadership and high-standard animal care. Your generosity helps us provide daily nutrition, safe habitats, and hands-on science education.
See how your gift makes a difference:
$25 helps provide nutritious daily meals and fresh bedding for our small animal ambassadors.
$50 contributes to essential habitat maintenance, heating, and environmental enrichment supplies.
$100 funds medical care and wellness checks to keep our animals healthy year-round.
$250+ supports larger enclosure upgrades, helping us maintain top-tier standards of care as our program grows.
Every dollar stays local and directly benefits our middle school students and the animals they love. Thank you for your support!
