Giving Activity

Mission

YDP’s mission is to empower vulnerable youth and families to achieve self-sufficiency, emotional stability, and long-term success through comprehensive counseling, education, peer support, and life-skills development. Our programs are designed not only to address substance use and mental health issues but to build self-worth, instill discipline, and foster leadership in those we serve.

Needs

Our programs are made possible through the generosity of donors, foundations, and local stakeholders who believe in community transformation.

Your support on North Texas Giving Day will allow us to:

Provide free or low-cost treatment to uninsured youth

Award scholarships to deserving students like Traveion

Hire and train peer mentors

Expand our weekend and after-school programs at Youth Village and other juvenile facilities

Create a lasting impact on families seeking healing, restoration, and hope

Equity Statement

YDP is founded on the principle that equity is not charity; it’s justice. We are committed to eliminating disparities in behavioral health access for marginalized communities, particularly Black and Hispanic youth disproportionately affected by incarceration and addiction. Our culturally competent staff, including bilingual and lived-experience professionals, ensure every client is seen, heard, and valued. We prioritize inclusive programming that acknowledges historical trauma while empowering clients to rewrite their narratives.
