Well Community Therapy, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation. We offer pro bono physical, occupational, and speech therapy to those without insurance or adequate coverage. We are a faith-based ministry that is committed to being the hands and feet of Christ.
The Well opened in August 2019 after our president, Dr. Bethany Spain, PT, DPT, NCS, saw a need in the DFW metroplex for a pro bono therapy clinic. Bethany spent time as a volunteer while earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at UTMB in Galveston, TX. Upon returning to DFW, she realized the Greater Fort Worth community would benefit from this ministry too. The Well provided 188 pro bono therapy sessions prior to closing in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The clinic reopened on March 10, 2021 at the Handley Hope Center in Fort Worth. The new location has allowed the Well to expand our services and treatment options for our patients.
Since March 2021 alone, we have provided >1,500 therapy sessions and served >200 families. That equates to greater than ONE MILLION DOLLARS worth of therapy services provided completely pro bono to the patients. We recently welcomed, Dr. Erin Rose, PT, DPT, as the new clinic director and she has big dreams of where to take the Well! It will be a very exciting year for the Well and we would be honored to have you join us in that journey!
Our Needs
Capital campaign to fund monthly expenses and specific patient needs that may arise. We try to provide more than pro bono therapy by meeting other needs such as equipment donations, home set-up, ramp building, doctor visits, etc. We make it a priority to partner with the patient and their family throughout the entire rehabilitation process.
