People come to We aRe HER through different doors.
A parent may walk through the door because her daughter needs confidence and positive mentorship.
A young person may walk through the culinary door and discover a talent that can become a career.
A woman may come looking for a safe place to heal, rebuild, or begin again.
A family may first meet us because they need food, clothing, or help finding resources.
A senior may walk through the door looking for connection, purpose, and community.
They may come through different doors, but they enter the same ecosystem of opportunity.
At We aRe HER, we don't just respond to the need someone has today. We help people discover what can come next.
Through our DEEM framework—Develop, Equip, Empower, Mentor—we create pathways that strengthen leadership, build practical skills, support economic mobility, promote healing, connect families to resources, and create opportunities across generations.
This North Texas Giving Day, help us keep every door open.
ABOUT WE aRe HER
We aRe HER is building an ecosystem of opportunity across generations.
What began with a commitment to strengthen the leadership and voices of women and girls has grown into an intergenerational organization serving youth, women, families, entrepreneurs, and seniors throughout Dallas and Kaufman Counties.
We learned something important along the way: people rarely have just one need.
A young girl learning leadership may belong to a family experiencing food insecurity. A parent seeking resources may also be ready for workforce training. A woman rebuilding her life may need both emotional support and an opportunity to increase her income. A senior may have wisdom that the next generation needs.
That is why our programs are intentionally connected.
Through leadership development, culinary education, workforce preparation, mentoring, family resource navigation, grief and resilience support, senior engagement, and community outreach, We aRe HER helps people move from where they are toward what is possible.
Our work is guided by our DEEM Framework:
DEVELOP character, confidence, leadership, and potential.
EQUIP people with practical skills, education, resources, and opportunities.
EMPOWER voices, dreams, families, and communities.
MENTOR people toward their next level while creating connections across generations.
We believe support should not end after one class, one giveaway, one meeting, or one difficult season.
HER means Helping Everyone Rise.
And when one person rises, the impact can reach an entire family and ultimately an entire community.
IMPACT THAT MOVES WITH PEOPLE
6,500+ families supported
12,000+ individuals reached
550+ children provided school supplies
1,600 toys distributed
366 adults and children served during one Dallas community distribution
47 youth participated in Summer Culinary Camp
21 Queens In Training students participated in our fine-dining and etiquette experience
And the work continues.
In 2026 alone:
Families continue to access food and essential resources through our Community Connection Center and Free Food Friday outreach.
Youth continue developing leadership, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, life skills, culinary skills, and confidence.
Women continue finding opportunities to heal, develop skills, connect to resources, and move forward.
Seniors continue finding connection and opportunities to remain active in the community.
Behind every number is a person.
Behind every person is a story.
And behind every story is the possibility of what happens next when someone has access to the right opportunity, resource, mentor, or support.
Someone in our community is standing at a door right now.
