The Veterans Center of North Texas is a volunteer based 501 (c) nonprofit organization founded in 2014.   The mission of the Veterans Center of North Texas to prevent homelessness in our Veteran Community.  For Veterans that are experiencing homelessness we provide immediate assistance to locate shelter and stabilize them in our communities.  In all cases our goal is to characterize Veteran needs, determine the underlying causes and provide assistance through information, referral and direct assistance to help create productive lifestyles in our communities.

Veterans and their families contact the Veterans Center through face-to-face visits as well as email introductions.  Through our research and over 8 years of experience serving Veterans and their families we have found there is a general lack of knowledge of the services available to Veterans in our communities.  Our current environment is devastating for many of our Veterans and their families. Runaway inflation is a key factor that is significantly impacting our Veteran Community.  Rent, utilities, transportation and food expenses are challenging our low income Veteran families.  Our goal is to provide resources and assistance to help our Veterans meet the challenges presented by our communities.
