$200,000 Goal

Teaching Kids To Navigate Life.

Vanguard Preparatory School believes that every student deserves the opportunity to feel understood, discover their strengths, and build a future filled with possibility.

Since 1993, Vanguard has been transforming what is possible for neurodiverse students and their families across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  As a nonprofit therapeutic school, we meet students where they are, then help them discover where they can go.

Vanguard creates an environment where education, mental health, and human connection work together.

A student who once struggled to engage may discover a passion for learning.

A young person overwhelmed by anxiety may begin building confidence.

A family that felt isolated may find a community that understands.

Your investment helps make those moments possible.

Your gift will help us expand access, strengthen programs, invest in our exceptional team of educators and therapists, and reach more students and families who need a different kind of educational experience.

Together, we can ensure that more neurodiverse students find their voice, discover their strengths, build meaningful connections, and chart a path toward a meaningful life.

Mission

Vanguard Preparatory School creates an emotionally safe environment where children and young adults with social, emotional, behavioral, and learning difficulties are challenged and supported to reach their full potential in school and life.

Today, approximately 150 students learn and grow across our Dallas and Aledo campuses, with plans to expand over the next several years.

Vanguard serves students with autism, anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, developmental disorders, and related learning differences. For many of these students, traditional educational environments can create barriers to learning, belonging, and confidence.

Through academic instruction, social-emotional learning (SEL), and therapeutic support, students gain more than academic knowledge. They learn how to manage challenges, build relationships, advocate for themselves, develop confidence, and take meaningful steps toward independence.

We don't simply prepare students for the next grade. We teach kids to navigate life.

Needs

Vanguard - Where Students Discover What They Can Do

Invest in the next generation of creators and problem-solvers and help us raise $200,000 or more this North Texas Giving Day!

At Vanguard, every student has a story, strengths, challenges, and untapped potential. Our teachers, therapists, and support professionals work side by side with families to create individualized educational and therapeutic plans that address the whole child.

With your generous support, we can continue building a school and a community where differences are understood, potential is recognized, and every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Vanguard is seeking the community’s support for the following projects:

A New Innovation & Enterprise Lab – an interactive space where students turn ideas into real projects, products, businesses, or solutions. In our Innovation & Enterprise Lab, students will have the opportunity to do more than learn from a textbook. They will identify problems, develop ideas, build prototypes, collaborate with others, and discover what it takes to turn an idea into something meaningful.

3D-print prototypes

Build robots or electronics

Create apps or websites

Design physical products

Work with laser cutters or other fabrication tools

Build and test engineering prototypes

Create videos and podcasts

The Innovation & Enterprise Lab will be where curiosity becomes creativity, creativity becomes innovation, and innovation becomes impact. Your gift will help create a dynamic environment where students can experiment, take thoughtful risks, learn from failure, and develop the skills and confidence to shape their own futures—and the future of their communities.

New Therapeutic Arts Program - art therapy sessions through local community partners will give our students another way to communicate feelings, experiences, and needs. We plan to pilot music, visual art, and drama therapy in spring 2027 with our lower, middle, and high school students. When a student finds a way to express themselves, they can build confidence, connection, and independence. Your gift can help make that possible.

Outdoor Renovations and Playground Upgrades - an outdoor environment that is as welcoming, accessible, and inspiring as the classrooms where our students learn. Upgrades may include improved playground equipment, accessible play features, musical instrument stations, outdoor classroom, gardens and enhancements that encourage movement, exploration, and connection. Your gift can transform an ordinary playground into an extraordinary place for childhood—one where students move, imagine, take healthy risks, build friendships, and create memories that last long after they leave our school.

Vanguard Scholarship Fund – annual financial assistance to families with demonstrated financial need, helping make tuition more accessible and ensuring that financial hardship does not stand in the way of a student’s educational experience. Every student deserves the opportunity to thrive in a Vanguard education, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances. Your gift invests directly in students and helping ensure that a Vanguard education remains within reach for families who need support most.
